Police have made two more arrests as share of an ongoing investigation into a important waste dumping operation in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, the Ambiance Agency (EA) has announced.
Officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit, working with the EA, Thames Valley Police, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary and Surrey Police, arrested two males at separate areas, the watchdog acknowledged.
A 69- one year-faded man was once arrested on Thursday at a property in Andover whereas a 54-one year-faded man was once apprehended in Slough, in step with an EA commentary.
“Both had been arrested for environmental and money laundering offences,” the EA acknowledged, along with that each and each suspects were launched on conditional bail pending extra investigation.
“The arrests produce on an arrest made in November and is one other welcome step in handing over justice for the native of us,” the EA acknowledged.
At the time, Construction News reported that the arrest had been made in connection with unlawful cruise-tipping of construction and varied waste subsequent to the A34 method Kidlington.
Emma Viner, enforcement and investigations supervisor within the Ambiance Agency’s nationwide environmental crime unit, described the “unlawful dump” at Kidlington as “an unsuitable and deliberate attack on our atmosphere”.
She acknowledged the most fresh arrests had been “one other wanted step in gathering fresh evidence and progressing our investigation”.
EA officers first visited the living on 2 July final one year following reports of unlawful tipping and issued a quit-and-desist letter.
After officers became responsive to continued prison job on living in October 2025, a court uncover was once sought and granted to shut the living, the company added.
“Since this was once granted on 23 October 2025, no extra tipping has taken set” the EA acknowledged.
It announced in December that work to definite up the unlawful living had begun.
